Following Vice President Biden's claim that Catholic hospitals and charities would not be negatively impacted by the HHS Mandate, the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) responded on October 12 with a letter saying: "This is not a fact. The HHS mandate contains a narrow, four-part exemption for certain 'religious employers.' That exemption was made final in February and does not extend to 'Catholic social services, Georgetown Hospital, Mercy Hospital, any hospital,' or any other religious charity that offers its services to all, regardless of the faith of those served."
The Washington Post fact check column recently awarded President Obama three "Pinocchios" for repeatedly saying that Planned Parenthood provides mammograms. According to HHS, no Planned Parenthood clinic in the country is authorized to perform mammograms under the federal Mammogram Quality Standards Act. A recent paper published in First Things pointed out that abortion is 125 to 165 times more profitable than mammography. During fiscal year 2009-2010, Planned Parenthood reported more than one billion dollars in net assets.

My thoughts:
Looks like the UN will be the arbiter when election questions or problems arise then they will be the one to justify to the world that Obama is the duly elected president. Any protests and rebellions will then be crushed as Obama will request their aid considering that the USAF will not fire on Americans.

My teen chooses the Lord
Bruce, my 13 yr. old son, is scheduled for Confirmation this year. However, the process requires that this be his decision, not mine. There'll be interviews to ascertain that. Last night, I had a talk with him and told him that it is alright to delay it if he is not ready. I removed any pressure on my part saying that this has to be his choice now. He decided to move forward with the program. Today, we're submitting forms, retreat permits, Baptismal certificates to the program director. There are lots of steps and activities e.g. community service, picking a name, writing about a saint etc. Even if it is a pain, in a way I like it because it highlights various aspects of our life in Christ.

Vegetable juice and asthma COPD
I have severe asthma, so bad that I am having COPD treatments. Recently, I started a vegetable juice diet. I usually juice my veggies and have that instead of dinner. I am discovering many benefits.
When I drank the juice of cruciferous veggies e.g. cauliflower, cabbages, brussel sprouts and brocolli, I am able to breathe a lot better. It feels like the swelling in my lungs has abated or gone down. It is usually handled by my meds but the veggies seemed to have added I guess even less swelling or more subsiding.
You can search for recipes and follow them to a tee. I have learned to just balance out the taste. These cruciferous veggies are a tad bitter so last night, I mixed it with cantelope. Banana is excellent in neutralizing bad tastes. I have to use a blender with bananas.

Again, he lied brazenly when he promoted his plans and swore that he won't raise taxes on anymore making $250,0000 or less. If you don't believe it, feel free to check out other sites and fact check. And the average increase is about $2000 per person.
4 yr old girl and the spider fear
Tappy, my 4 year old daughter, screamed from the toilet, "Daddy!!!" I asked her what was wrong and she pointed to a spider. It was tiny. So, I grabbed the bug and let it dangle down to my nose. I let it crawl over my face then grabbed it again as it keeps stringing down my hand. "This is my favorite bug", I told her. "Why?" she asked with her big round eyes looking in wonder. "Well, they eat flies, mosquitos and roaches - all the dirty bugs that make us sick." Then, I pretended to gobble down the critter as she giggled, "Daddy." She's not afraid of the small spiders anymore. I haven't seen any big ones so I don't know how she'll deal with them.

60 Minutes did a report last night on Afghanistan and one component of that was to expose how Al Qaeda has resurged in is working with the Taliban to fight ISAF troops. Not only did they interview a Taliban commander who acknowledged that many Al Qaeda soldiers are working for the Taliban, but that the U.S. military’s own reports from the battlefield are replete with references to Al Qaeda, whether it be about training camps or the fact that we’ve taken 25 Al Qaeda leaders out in one month. This seems to contradict Obama’s own statement at the DNC that Al Qaeda is “on the path to defeat.”
