In Washington, D.C., the same-sex marriage bill is expected to become law within a couple of weeks. Because of this, the Archdiocese of Washington D.C. through Catholic Charities will be forced to recognize those unions if it will remain in partnership with the city. Rather than compromise the Church's teaching on marriage, the archdiocese ended its foster care program.

Unfortunately for the children, we'll being seeing more of this. Somedays I think we might be winning out over the culture of death, especially after reading how there are fewer doctors willing to perform abortions in this country.
Then I read of how we're exporting our "kill the kids" mindset overseas and I see items like the one you reference.
(Sigh) Still one very long way to go.
