The misery of those who bring up their children on the garbage tips is shocking. The sole ray of hope on this burning Phillipine garbage tip is the German priest, Heinz Kulüke. He is, in fact, a university professor of philosophy -- however his encounters with the garbage people have changed his life. He works tirelessly to help the garbage people, as well as the girls in Cebu's red light district.

Family Planning (Rated M for married )
"Are you sticky?"  I ask my wife.  That refers to her vaginal discharge that indicates her fertility.  If it's watery and clear then she's not fertile but when it's cloudy and thick then chances are she's fertile.  I also track her last menstrual period and temperature.  If she's hot, warmer than usual, then she may be fertile.  All these indicators allow me to prevent pregnancy the natural way.  There are 2 things here.  First, there must be a good reason to avoid pregnancy and secondly, it must be done the right way.  With 4 kids and her age, I think responsible parenthood requires me to stop.  The right way is natural i.e. no vasectomy, no pills, no coitus interuptus.  That's God way.  BTW, if you want more details I advice you not to rely solely on my sharing here.  There are sites that treat this topic in  Cf. www.usccb.org/prolife/issues/nfp/index.shtml

Ecumenism - the Return of the Anglicans and more
Remember the image of the wheel with the spokes?  The closer we move to the center, the closer we get to each other.  Compared to his predecessors, Pope Benedict XVI did not reach out as much as he reached in -  focused and stayed with the truth that has been handed down by the apostles.  That is what is attracting the other Christians whose churches have started to veer away from that heritage.  People of goodwill who want to remain in the truth are seeing the Catholic church as a stable institution that stays the course.  This is not to discount the work of Vatican II who paved the way for this reconciliation by recognizing elements of truth and goodness in them and acknowledging sincerity in their intentions.  So, our fidelity to the Truth is the greatest service that we can give our separated brethren and the world.

Witnessing to Jesus (not taught)
Correct me if I am wrong but I have seen my kids religion books and have taught Sunday school myself but do not recall any lesson about how to talk to others about Jesus.  I got those from ecclesial movements and charismatic prayer groups.  But the point is why do we not teach our children to evangelize others, to share the gift of faith in Jesus?

Chances (running out of)
I shall not pass this way again...
"I expect to pass through this world but once.

Any good thing, therefore, that I can do or any kindness I can show
to any fellow human being let me do it now.
Let me not defer nor neglect it, for I shall not pass this way again."

Video: (Chicken-a-la-Carte) Let them eat pumpkin.

When told that the poor had no bread, Marie-Antoinette said, "Let them eat cake."   Some say she was clueless or apathetic;  others think that she might have thought of giving her cakes away.  No matter, in this video, one might wonder why people aren't contented with their simple food like rice and dried fish.  The answer is that there is no simple food to begin with.

Blog/Video: Veggie Tales taught my son perseverance

Cartoons taught my son perseverance. When he was 7, he was a Tiger scout. During one of their meetings, they had a crab walk race. Since he was doing it right, he trailed the pack. It became so bad that everyone else had crossed the finish line. But he kept on. The other parents were so impressed that they gave him a standing ovation as he struggled to the very end. When I asked him what made he hang on, he said that he recalled the Veggie Tale story about perseverance. (See below.)

St. John Bosco would have used this too if was around in the 1800s.  He used all the media available then e.g.  theater, acrobatics, juggling, drama, operettas, stories, songs and billboards stating "God sees you."

Video Description:  Scallion (Larry the Cucumber) challenges Apollo Gourd for the World Veggie-Weight Title!

Can Scallion stick with it and finish the match? Can he keep his eye on the Tiger Bike awarded to the champion? In this zany tale of perseverance, The Italian Scallion learns that when you finish what you start, you always come out the winner!

Another take on this is how non-Christians saw Christians.  If how we're perceived matters to us because we are ambassadors of Christ, then this short film is quite revealing.  It is the Johari window exemplified when we learn about ourselves through others.

Video: Trafficking of women and girls for sexual exploitation

Sins against purity are not private acts even if done behind closed doors by oneself. The models used in internet porn, the exotic dancers, the "escorts" or the prostitutes are modern day slaves. Here is another reason to not view porn because, if there is no demand then the industry will not thrive.

Video: Why people support abortion rights (Motherhood by choice)

I've posted this for pro-lifers to understand those who support abortion  in order to reduce or stop abortions altogether.  Understanding is not condoning;  it is not tolerating and much less accepting.  I seek to understand to be more effective in fighting this just like Patton understood Rommel's tactics.

What I learned here are the efffectiveness of state laws in pushing back the carnage.  Also, abortion providers see themselves as helping others.  Finally, if the mother can be dissuaded from doing it to begin with, then we can all pack our bags.  But there lies the rub.

Regardless, I do not endorse abortion rights because, no one should have a right to deprive another person of his inalienable right to life.  If it is no longer available, then fewer women will risk their lives with coat hangers and we won't have the 50 million dead babies in the US since abortion became legal.

Motherhood by Choice, not Chance : Director: Dorothy Fadiman | Genre: Documentary |Produced In: 2000
Synopsis: Motherhood by Choice, Not Chance distills the history and power of the 2 ½ hour trilogy, From the Back-Alleys to the Supreme Court & Beyond. Through first person stories, this documentary brings alive the history of the struggle for women's reproductive rights in the U.S. and the passion of those who moved abortion from the danger of the back alleys to a safe, legal choice. It includes information about current threats to those rights.

Blog: The insidious slide into an infernal d'etente

Fr. Longenecker maps out a methodical approach for disordered lifestyles to gain legitimacy and even acceptance .  What is diabolic is the insidious and gradual slide into an infernal d'etente done using a mixture of truths and lies.  Click on the title to go to Fr. Longenecker's blog article.
(H/T to RAULITO from http://angelicdoctor.blogspot.com/ )
Here are the steps.
1.   Natural Law is ignored, undermined...
2.   ...laws questioned because they are 'too strict' too 'black and white',...
3.  Relativism is therefore introduced.
4.  Individualism is the next step.
5.  ... who live in a sinful situation demand that they not be judged...
6.  Dialogue is demanded. ..
7.  ...expect to be accepted ...
8.  Equal rights are expected ...
9.  Equal rights are demanded. ...
10.  ...demand not only that you tolerate, but that you approve.
And so, the devil is really in the details.

Blog: Stores, Shops

Wal-Mart:  The highlight of all our camping trips is a pilgrimage to Wal-Mart.  My wife loves this store but we live far from them.

Mephisto:  I will never go there just because it is named after a demon.  Why would anyone name their store that?

Ci-ci's:  All you can eat pizza, more than 10 varieties.  The wife & kids went there tonight because of a school event.  She brought her Discover card only to find out that the store takes anything but.  The manager let them in anyway then I got a call in the middle of the Capitol Beltway about this.  The reception was unclear that I ended up at Chuckie Cheese's.  After a short phone tag, we finally got it right.

Chuckee Cheese's:  Kids games and rides with a restaurant.  Free entrance.  Good for children's parties.  Security is tight.  If you come with a kid, you and the kid get marked with an invisible number.  No one but you can come out with your kid.  They check that number at the door before you go.

Rite-Aid:  They practically give stuff out for free.  You pay for it first then get your money back in something like a rebate check.  Shopping there is one of my wife's hobbies.

Dave and Busters:  Lots of video games and a restaurant.  I take my kids there one at a time on our father and child night.  So, far I have done it twice this year.  It makes me closer to my kids so I become more than just a parent.  I become a daddy and my orders become more palatable.

(Tevye)
Do you love me?

(Golde)
Do I what?

(Tevye)
Do you love me?

(Golde)
Do I love you?
With our daughters getting married
And this trouble in the town
You're upset, you're worn out
Go inside, go lie down!
Maybe it's indigestion

(Tevye)
"Golde I'm asking you a question..."

Do you love me?

(Golde)
You're a fool

(Tevye)
"I know..."

But do you love me?

(Golde)
Do I love you?
For twenty-five years I've washed your clothes
Cooked your meals, cleaned your house
Given you children, milked the cow
After twenty-five years, why talk about love right now?

(Tevye)
Golde, The first time I met you
Was on our wedding day
I was scared

(Golde)
I was shy

(Tevye)
I was nervous

(Golde)
So was I

(Tevye)
But my father and my mother
Said we'd learn to love each other
And now I'm asking, Golde
Do you love me?

(Golde)
I'm your wife

(Tevye)
"I know..."
But do you love me?

(Golde)
Do I love him?
For twenty-five years I've lived with him
Fought him, starved with him
Twenty-five years my bed is his
If that's not love, what is?

(Tevye)
Then you love me?

(Golde)
I suppose I do

(Tevye)
And I suppose I love you too

(Both)
It change a thing
But even so
After twenty-five years
It's nice to know

Blog/Video: St. John Bosco on Education / Parenting : Make it fun.

St. John Bosco's preventive system is described as a pedagogy from heaven because it first came to him on a vision.
John saw himself playing with a crowd of neighborhood boys; many of them were fighting and swearing. He told them to stop, then leapt in with both fists when they did not. Suddenly a stranger, a noble and radiant gentleman, appeared. He told John that he needed to use kindness, not blows, to win over these children. John did not understand. The man said he would give him a teacher, and a majestic Lady showed up. She instructed John to watch, and the boys turned into wild animals—bears, goats, dogs, cats, etc. “This,” she told him, “is your field of work. Make yourself humble, strong, and energetic, so that you’ll be able to do for my children what you’ll see now.” And the beasts turned into gentle lambs. In his confusion, John began to cry. The Lady assured him that in due time he would understand. And he woke up.  (http://www.bosconet.aust.com/DBD.html#d0e17 )

Both preventive and repressive systems involve making expectations and consequences known.  In the preventive system, the educator assists the kids to succeed like a friend keeping his buddies away from trouble.  In the repressive system, the educator enforces the rules and administers punishments on violations just like a cop.  The preventive system takes time, effort and self-sacrifice.  One needs to hang out with the kids and have something fun for them.  The repressive system is easy ;  one comes in only as needed usually to assert authority over the little people.  In return, the preventive system works;  it makes the kids better by changing them from the inside.  The repressive system can give compliance just like those of prisoners but it does not educate.  How many times have you met kids who are just waiting to turn 18 so that they can leave their "oppressive" homes.  However, punishments are unavoidable because lines will be crossed.  According to St. John Bosco, "Punishment is anything intended to become punishment."  So, a cold shoulder from St. John Bosco has the same effect as a slap because the kids love him.  What makes it work is love.  Just a spoonful of sugar makes the medicine go down and a spoonful of honey catches more flies than a gallon of vinegar.  Also, no one cares how much you know until they know how much you care.

Here's an illustration of how one can make change fun.

Blog: Encounters with a Harvard educated endocrinologist

When my doctor asked me to see a endocrinologist, I checked who's in my network and started calling around. Long story short, I found an opening with a doctor who was just moving in our area. And she's from Harvard. I guess I was lucky to get in her list before it got filled. I had a couple of appointments already and at the end of our sessions, Dr. Angeline would inspect every sore on my feet holding them with her hands. The last time I had a woman do that is when I accompanied my wife in a saloon where I got this foot treatment where the dead skin got scraped off. The pedicurist or whatever she's called had a mask on but was almost choking. And I've been with another endocrinologist before who came from a much less prestigious school but, she never checked my feet.

This made me reflect on humility. Humility is not thinking less about yourself as much as thinking of yourself  less.  Conversly, it is thinking of others more. So, Dr. Angeline gets on her knees and inspects my sores by hand to treat me as best as she can. She forgets herself as the high and mighty Harvard doctor and heals me with the gifts that God has given her.

P.S.  The incarnate Son of God did something more.  Not only did he wash the apostles' feet to show us how it is done, He cleansed us from our sins with His blood.

My comments:  Senior citizens were bragging about their children and how much they make.  One was a surgeon another was in finance and so on.  Because their kids were so big and important, they were so busy.  Watch the video for a true and all too common paradox - that the nobody can become the best child.

Just remember that the way we treat our parents may very well be the way our children will treat us.

Video description:  Go to IAM71.org to join this groundbreaking online protest against taxpayer funded abortions. Polls show that 71% of the American people oppose public funding for abortion in the national health care reform package. Make your voices heard!

What is I Am 71 Percent?

President Barack Obama has been quoted as saying that abortion funding is central to his health care reform agenda. But not so fast, Mr. President!

A recent Zogby poll has shown that 71% of Americans oppose taxpayer funded abortions.

Are you one of those Americans? If so, then join our virtual protest!

We plan make sure that President Obama and every member of Congress is sent a link to these photos so they can put faces on the 71% figure that represents the percentage of Americans opposed to tax-funding of abortion in health care legislation currently under consideration. We want them to look us in the eye and consider who they represent before they finalize plans to oppose our will on this critical moral issue.

Take a picture of yourself with the number 71 then click here to upload your photo and we will add you to the I Am 71 Gallery!  (Or type http://www.prolifeunity.com/index.php/iam71percent/comment/upload )

But this protest doesn’t stop there. Click the “Do More” tab to make your voice heard so that not one dime will go to fund the killing of innocent children through abortion!

DID YOU KNOW?

Whenever public funds are used to pay for abortions, the abortion rate rises. That makes the issue of public abortion funding a critical life-and-death moral issue of great importance to the American people.

Video: The Woman at the Well

Hear her out.

source: http://www.tangle.com/view_video?viewkey=46e6e8ca98b9123f2249

Commentary:

A familiar Gospel account finds Jesus traveling through the region of Samaria when He encounters a woman alone at the local well. After He asks for a drink of water, she is surprised as He reveals what He knows about her life: she has married five times and is not married to the man with whom she is now living.

Having heard this story for years, I just assumed she was a prostitute. As it turns out, I may have judged her without knowing all the facts.

One scholar suggests it is unlikely she is a prostitute, but more likely that she is barren—she cannot have children. This may explain why she has been married so many times. She gets married, cannot bear children and the husband divorces her.

Thus, she goes to the well alone because of the stigma this places on her. People would gossip about her and even tell her she is “not in favor with God.” Ouch!

Fortunately, Jesus does not see her as we do. He sees her as a woman scarred by her past, a woman who has lost hope. He approaches her with compassion rather than contempt.

Now that’s an example for all of us.

John 4:17

Kids at Mass, Catholic Pols & Judges, Halloween Prep, Father Daughter night, Stewardship Sun.

Kids at Mass.
I have a 10, 8, 7 & 2 year old. For those who have kids, then they know that it is nearly impossible to pray at Mass  when the whole family is around. I usually end up hurmoring one in the common area. So we are now going to Mass by groups. The wife takes the boys; I take the girl and the baby stays at home. It works. The kids are so well behaved that we don't stay at the "cry room" anymore. It's not a perfect solution but it's good enough.

Halloween Prep.
This afternoon, my wife and kids decorated the front of the house and lawn for Halloween with plastic jack-o-lanterns and a witch Japanese kite. They had fun although I am not so hot about Halloween, since it is a Pagan celebration. We look at it as a costume and candy night instead.

Father Daughter night.
After the evening Mass, my daughter, "Em" and I had our night out. We first went to the food court of a mall but it was already closed at 7 pm. So, we went to a Japanese restaurant nearby. I asked her to pick what she wanted. Em was clearly enjoying the undivided attention. We ended up sharing the curried chicken, seafood noodle soup and stir fried string beans. I talked to her about the times when her brother teased her because that bothered her a lot. "If someone says you have green hair, will that make it true?" I asked. She said no. "So, if it is not true, then why will you feel bad?" I continued. "It's just ridiculous if anything."  She agreed. Then we went to a grocery where we got her favorite candy - Skittles. As we walked hand in hand all night long, I kept thinking that someday I'll walk her down the aisle to entrust her to another man. Till then, I make these little moments and then tuck them in my treasure chest of blessings. Thank you Lord.

Catholic Politician - an oxymoron.
If we simply examine the voting records of Catholic politicians in the US, we'll see that the positions that they have taken are contrary to the position of the Church. The Protestants show themselves to be the true followers of Jesus in this matter.  I wonder if they do that intentionally to show that they do not let their Catholic faith get in the way of serving all their constituents. They know that abortion is murder but support it anyway for the sake of the one's who don't think it is murder. They push the responsibility to the mother. I think it is a cop out and a sell out.   It may keep them in power; then again, with more and more Americans choosing more spiritual values, I doubt it. Were it not for the rich and powerful abortion lobby, that platform will not have a leg to stand on. Going back to the politicians, the Church teaches that they should promote justice and other moral principles in the world and that includes protecting the rights of the unborn. But they ignore that and turn to dissident theologians to prop their positions. Those theologians will not be able to save them at  the judgment day so they practically sold their souls to the devil and keep numbing their consciences with the sophisms of false teachers. Perhaps the Lord will forgive them "for not knowing what they do." Then again, they're smart and the warnings have not been wanting.

Stewardship Sunday.
The pastor spoke about giving more to the church. I stopped giving to the church of Abp. Wuerl's archdiocese ever since he said that he will not enforce canon 915 to discipline politicians. I give to other Catholic organizations like "Food for the Poor" instead. I don't think the bishop will grow hungry and if there is any danger of that, then I will pledge to provide canned goods and grain for him and my parish priest.  But I think the dioceses here have millions.  Not too long ago, I heard about 2 priests stealing $2 million from their parish in CT. Also, I found out that the USCCB was funding groups that supported abortion, prostition and other immoralities. So, that's it for the US churches. Stewardship is a good thing. But stewardship does not mean giving to these rich churches.  Before St. Peter said, "Gold and silver I have none but, in the name of Jesus Christ arise and walk."  The bishops here cannot say those anymore.  They can't say gold they have none nor can they say arise and walk.  That is why the faith communities here are crippled and dying.

Vid: A True Love Story (The Kiss)

A short video about love that goes beyond feelings and sentimentality, transcending self.  Truly a depiction of the Christian model 1 Corinthians 13:1-13 - Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.

- Lyrics
I just can't understand the ways
Of all the men and their mistakes.
You give them all your heart,
and then they rip it all away...
You told me how much you loved me
And how our love was meant to be.
And i believed in you, i thought that
you would set me free...
(chorus)
You should've just told me the truth
That i wasn't the girl for you...
Still i didn't have a clue
So my heart depended on you...
Whoah
Although i'll say 'i hate u' now
Although i'll shout and curse you out...
I'll always have love for you
Because i am a girl

Been told a man will leave you cold
Get sick of you and bored...
I know that it's no lie
I gave my all still i just cry
Never again will i be fooled, to give my all
When nothing's true...
I won't be played again,
but i will fall in love again...
(chorus)
You should've just told me the truth
That i wasn't the girl for you...
Still i didn't have a clue
So my heart depended on you...

don't take advantage of a girl's willingness
to do anything for love
and her caring instinct
i didn't know that to be born as a girl
and to be loved was so hard
although i will curse you i'll still miss you
since i am a girl, to whom love is everything
although i will curse you i'll still miss you
since i am a girl, to whom love is everything

- Narration (Girl)
the pain
it's not enough to describe how i feel
we were so happy together
but I know now
I've been blind
you told me that you'd never let me down
whenever I needed you
you'd always be here
I can forgive but I cant forget
even though you hurt me
I still love you

(korean)
don't take advantage of a girl's willingness
to do anything for love
and her caring instinct

- Narration (Guy)
There's someone I'm in love with..
Although I can't be with her now..
I'm still in love with her...

Kiss Because i'm a girl Kiss Because i'm a girl

Vid: Playing for Change - Street Musicians from Around the World

Stand By Me | Playing For Change | Song Around The World from Concord Music Group on Vimeo.

Source:  http://vimeo.com/2539741
From the award-winning documentary, "Playing For Change: Peace Through Music".  The movement to help inspire people from around the world to come together through music.

My reflection:  While this inspires the emotions, it is just founded on sand and not solid rock.  When good vibes are there then all is cool;  when things are not that great, then who knows what happens.  Wouldn't it be great if people felt awed and moved by the love of God through His Son Jesus that they would go to the streets in the same way and celebrate that instead?  And that would be solid, built on rock that does not come and go with feelings.

Description:
Life throws many opportunities and trials our way. Through our successes and failures, the authenticity of our faith is always being tested. It's not just our words that matter. It's our genuine responses and actions that also speak to whether our faith is real.

Catepillar, UNO, toilet, diarhea, Mystical Body, hard drives, prayers, meds, Mass, women drivers video

My 7 year old boy, "Steven" has a caterpillar project that has become a family undertaking. We watched YouTube clips and went with the egg carton. His 10 year old brother, "Tom" cut off ends of coat hangers to use as legs. Steven wants to finish it tonight until I found that it was due next week. He said he wanted it out of the way. "Out of the way of what?" I thought - like he has a pressing schedule to keep.

My 6 year old girl was crying because no one wanted to play UNO with her. So, I asked for a hand and started to play. She stopped crying and soon her sobbing turned into chatter as she directed me to take 4 cards or do the reverse. She's the UNO champion of the family but her brothers don't mind losing.

My 2 year old is yelling for attention as my wife put her in the crib for a break. "She has diarhea" my wife reported. I asked,  "So what has she been eating?" But the baby's cries got even louder that we could barely hear each other. So, the baby got picked up.

Then the basement toilet was stinking. The boys clogged it with too much toilet paper and poop. Back when my wife and I started, we divided the chores where I got whatever is heavy and stinky. So, I'll flush, plunge and use the auger if nothing works.  I learned that when we had a plumber come over. They charged $50 back then. The auger cost a lot less.

There's some peace and quite now; so, I wrote this as a thin slice of life about being a dad in the 21st century.  I also looked into Facebook and saw a funny video that has been shared by 3 friends.  I saw it and it was hilarious.  It is what it is and does not make any general statement about a certain gender.

I still have to replace a couple of hard drives.  I'm not sure how they got corrupted - probably because of  wear and tear that I could have lessened by putting the computers in sleep mode instead of keeping them running.  I got the drives from Ebay because they're from models older than 5 years.  I saw a YouTube video on how to install them.

I have to pay some bills online, take my meds, brush my teeth and pray before I sleep. I thank God for this noisy crew and ask His protection over them. I am thinking of going to an early Mass tomorrow, but it feels too cold to get out of bed early in the morning. But I'm going to try anyway. The doctrine of the Mystical Body is that if I become holy, then I raise the holiness of my family. That is really the best that I can give them and I won't have to yell as much if they're holy.  So, we'll see.

Vid: Impending Punishment for US Liberals

Today pro-aborts do violence to the religious defenders of the unborn, who are mostly followers of the meek and gentle Jesus. Still on a larger scale, health care legislation is being pushed to sneak in the federal funding of abortions. This will increase the number of abortions tenfold. So far 50 million unborn children who were murdered since abortion became legal and their cries pierce the heavens. Furthermore, anti religious laws proliferate as though there's a rush to remove God from the hearts and minds of Americans.

With that background, one needs to look at the Hebrew Scriptures to see how God punished those who mock Him. In the video, you can see that it is not hard for His avenging hand to deliver justice and punishment in a single terrorist attack or decades of Islamic rule as Muslims gain political power. The Muslims will assert God's rights forcibly and violently. Those who will not respect and obey God out of love now will follow His rules in fear and trembling later.

What's wrong with comfort? Why move out of your comfort zone? If you're uncomfortable talking about Jesus, should you just remain silent and leave it to the priests?

For those who do not believe, no proof is sufficient; for those who do, no proof is necessary.
Either way, the proof will either strengthen your conviction or give your one.

Vid: Muslims backlash in Iraq - a pattern?

source: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JWIQnQs8cVg&feature=player_embedded

Here in the US, I have Muslim friends from Pakistan, Iran, Palestine and Egypt just as I have Jewish friends from Israel and the entire East Coast. I find them all to be decent human beings and some to be devoutly spiritual.

Even if Obama says that we are not a Christian nation, the census still shows that Christians here are the majority. And that makes me proud to be a follower of Jesus because compared to some Muslim countries, everyone here gets along and are treated equally under the law.  I don't know what happened before but I heard about the atrocities of Crusaders.  What I do know  is that nothing like that goes on as public policy nowadays.  When the clandestine genocide in Kosovo became public, the world moved against it.  It has also been rumored that the Pope himself sent arms to help the Muslims during the conflict.

Now with the changing European demographics, people are getting nervous with Muslims immanent domination.  But if the Middle East can be taken as an indicator, then this video will provide some insight of what might become.  Just as there are intolerant fundamentalists who see every non-Muslim as fair game, there are those who respect religious freedom. While others feel oppressed by Christian or Jewish aggression and retaliate in kind, others seek a peaceful resolution.  Still there are those who are sincere in their prayers and  fasting that they draw close to the One God.  And since God is One, then they also draw near to the Jewish people and the Christians who also submit to the will of that same God.  And having the same Heavenly Father, it becomes possible to remember and live as who we truly are - siblings.

Letting go will happen sooner than what we thought or felt. So we better cherish every moment and prepare our daughters, so that it will be easy when the time comes.

Video: "It's not over."

EU passed Lisbon treaty? USCCB funding immorality? Democrats railroading socialized medicine? Divorcing or divorced? Failing at school? Career in the rut? Unemployed and unemployable? Health going down? Enslaved by habitual sin; going blind in the process?

3 words. It's not over.

Catholic New Roundup reports that USCCB has been giving monies to groups that support or promote abortion, contraception, prostitution and homosexual marriage through its Catholic Campaign for Human Development department.  It also reports that USCCB gave $7 million to ACORN last year.

They usually collect for the Human Development before Thanksgiving.  Unless the report is fraudulent, you can save your donations for a more Christian endeavor.
