But to watch three soldiers beat a defenseless woman with batons, their fists, and for one extraordinarily cruel soldier with his boot, is not even the most provocative part.

For these men to pull her black abaya above her head and expose her midriff and chest is, for Egypt, a profound and sexually charged humiliation.

And there is a certain awful irony of using that abaya, a symbol of modesty and piety, to cover her face and drag her on the street that, though probably not intentional, will not be lost on Egyptian eyes. Here, below, is part of the photo pulled out in detail.

Activists managed to capture a video of the incident. It is difficult to watch. She takes so many blows to her head, and one man stomps on her chest so forcefully, that it's difficult to imagine she required anything less than hospitalization.

Though one of the soldiers makes a half-hearted effort to cover her back up (after he is done beating her, of course, on the face and chest with a baton), she appears limp. Three soldiers pick her up from her arms and legs, and then the camera cuts away.

AINA) — The number of Christian girls abducted and coerced into converting to Islam since the Egyptian “January 25 Revolution” has skyrocketed, according to Father Filopateer Gamil of St. Mary’s Church in Giza. “More than two to three girls disappear everyday in Giza alone,” he said. “The cases that are brought to public attention are few compared to what the numbers actually are.”

Many Christians blame the military council for not intervening to put an end to this problem, which has escalated after the Revolution because of the “emergence of Muslim Salafists,” says activist Mark Ebeid, “who believe strongly that converting a Christian Infidel is in some ways like earning a ticket to paradise — not to mention the earthly remuneration they get from the Saudis.”

HAMAS-linked CAIR-The Council of America Islamic Relations says it presented the Puyallup School District with a request to brainwash young students with propaganda about Islam and the Muslim religion as a way to ease fears and ‘educate’ students.
KOMO NEWS CAIR also made a request to the Puyallup School District for special accommodations for Muslim children during Ramadan and other holidays.

Dozens of parents say if one organization is allowed to come into the classroom and teach their children about the Muslim religion, then all religions should be represented. At a town hall meeting on Tuesday night, the parents’ message was clear: they don’t want religion being taught in public schools. ”Muslims are welcome here, but if you’re going to be here, you get in line and become American first,” said parent Lisa Hedger.

Pierce County ACT! For America, an organization dedicated to concerned citizens and parents who feel CAIR has ulterior motives, says, ”For America’s sake, we don’t think that it’s fair that Islam gets a pass and the other religions don’t, but also because CAIR is a front for the Muslim brotherhood,” said group member Kerry Hooks. “We have a real problem with organizations with ties to terrorism that come into the public schools.”
