Two peasant brothers were brutally crucified on “the example of Christ” as forces loyal to Ivory Coast President Alassane Ouattara continue to target perceived supporters of his ousted Christian predecessor, Laurent Gbagbo.

Raphael Aka Kouame died of his injuries; incredibly his younger brother, Kouassi Privat Kacou, survived the ordeal. The pair were badly beaten and tortured before being crudely nailed to cross-shaped planks by their hands and feet with steel spikes on 29 May.

Nigeria: Muslim Youth Attack and Burn Church During Service, Dozens of Christians Injured

“A Nigerian church, the Universal Kingdom of God’s Church , Yoff road Dakar, Senegal, was Sunday, attacked by suspected Muslim youths in the area.

The church was burnt down by the rampaging youths while its more than two dozens members, all Nigerians , who were at a worship service during the attack were severely injured.

The victims are at present receiving medical attention at Philips Health Centre Manguillene Senghor.

The pastor of the church, Rev. Roland, said that, ‘it was around 10:00hrs during service that people armed with sticks and clubs broke into the church. And without any explanation, they attacked the faithfuls, they snatched mobile phones, before setting fire to the place of worship.’” Read more.

A grisly video released to international media by two separate Afghan sources depicts four Afghan militants beheading a man believed to be a Christian in Herat Province. The video is intended to warn Afghanistan's tiny Christian population of the dire consequences if American forces leave Afghanistan. President Barack Obama announced his intentions to begin a gradual withdrawal of U.S. troops earlier this week.

Muslims Bomb a Catholic Church in Philippines, Two Killed

Two people were killed and eight wounded when an bomb exploded outside a canteen near a Catholic Church in the southern Philippines, police said Sunday.
The blast occurred Saturday in Isabela City in Basilan province, 900 kilometres south of Manila, according to regional commander Felicisimo Khu. Khu said the explosion caused a fire in the canteen.
Basilan is one of the strongholds of al-Qaeda-linked Muslim militants accused of some of the worst terrorist attacks in the Philippines and high-profile kidnappings involving foreign hostages.
