Dems caused economic meltdown ?

Could it be that the Democrats were the cause of the economic meltdown when they pushed Freddie Mac into the hole. Because Freddie is a trillion dollar industry, the US economy will catch a cold whenever it sneezes.
My sources tell me that during the real estate boom, some bigwig from the legislature phoned the exec(s) there and yelled at him to buy more loans; because, Freddie Mac is a GSE with a mission to make home ownership affordable. That is why it took unprofitable loans . You recall how their officers were grilled at Congress after the debacle and were found blameless.
Freddie has the best risk-assessment models in the secondary mortgage industry and that can be proven. So, it knew that it was going into a slippery slope when it caved in. This direction had been opposed by the other officers and that is documented.
Going back to the bigwig who forced Freddie to buy sub-prime loans, is he likely to be a friend of the rich shareholders or the people with bad credits? Why don’t you search the web, but it stands to reason that the one who pushed Freddie in the hole is not from the party that sides with big business.
So when somebody goes around blaming “W” and the GOP for the economic mess, I get disappointed. I had hoped that this person would be honest and fair.

Untold stories about Card. Jaime Sin, Marcos the commies & his chance to become president

Cardinal Jaime Sin with President Corazon Aquino

At a party, Pres. Marcos made small talk saying, "The Americans are admirable in their efficiency. Only hours after the polls have closed and they already know the results." The Cardinal responded without any expression, "You need to admire your people Mr. President. Even before the elections, they already know the results."

At the end of many of his masses, I've heard him say, "We are not afraid to face the firing squad." And when stopped at the airport because he was black-listed he threatened, "I am not a subversive, but I can become one."

I've heard that he cried when he heard about the impending civil war. And he was given a chance to stop it with a proposal that if he would lead the nation, then the rebels and the government will unite behind him and stop the hostilities. He declined, "I don't want to become another Ayatollah Khomeini." He was the country's servant, but God's first.

The poor here are set; give abroad instead.

Blog source: http://www.blogger.com/post-create.g?blogID=4375505699500077798

My apologies to the Churches in the US but, I think people need to send their donations to the churches in the third world. Over here, the poor have food stamps, rental subsidy, unemployment benefits and other government programs. The churches here are air-conditioned with fresh cut flowers artistically arranged. The priest's vestments have golden threads and the statues are commisoned art works. My parish built a belfry with bells that play a tune. And the churches here have millions e.g. in CT the priests stole 2 million. (Sorry for airing the dirty laundry.)

Abroad, the children forage in the trash for food. When they're sick, they cry in anguish with their guardians who weep helplessly with them. Their shelter is from cardboards, their clothes from tattered rags. Later, they become parents and the vicious cycle gets perpetuated unless someone intervenes to cross out that pattern.
For details about the video, search the web for the ANCOP foundation. Donations there are tax deductable and fully documented.

Argumentum ad baculum

BTW, I am not a Republican. I used to be a Democrat (in spirit) back in the 60s with JFK. I would have marched with MLK because I am colored too. But now, I cannot be a Democrat because of their support of abortion rights. It is immoral and godless to murder people - no matter how small.

The video below shows how they try to muscle their version of the health care reform.
Also, I don't remember the GOP using thugs to push their agenda; that's called "argumentum ad baculum" or make a muscle. It is a fallacy because you don't reason things out anymore. Is this Obama's way?

Church Positions on Proposed Healthcare - NOGO

Washington D.C., Aug 8, 2009 / 08:00 am (CNA).- Tom Grenchik, director of the U.S. bishops’ Pro-Life Secretariat, has said that mandated abortion health care coverage and funding is “a line we can never cross,” charging that some U.S. leaders are threatening health care reform by forcing Americans to accept such mandates in proposed reform bills. Writing in a Friday column on the U.S. bishops’ web site, Grenchik said that health care proposals need to be examined during the congressional recess to see how well they provide affordable quality health care and how they impact immigrants and the poor.

“Health care reform is a good thing,” New York Archbishop Timothy Dolan told CNA on Wednesday during in interview in Phoenix, Arizona. However, if it “leads to the destruction of life, then we say it’s no longer health care at all - it’s unhealthy care and we can’t be part of that.” Responding to a question about the Catholic Church’s view health care reform, Archbishop Dolan explained to CNA that the Church regards health care reform as a good thing. Bloodbath continues; Abp. Wuerl washes hands: "Not my people, not the law"

As soon as the dissidents barricaded themselves in a fort, government tanks headed towards it. Cardinal Jaime Sin came on the radio and called on the Church - the People of God to stop the impending bloodbath. Soon priests, nuns and lay folks blocked the streets and faced off with the advancing troops. And the rest is history.

Today, a different form of violence continues specially here in the USA as babies get aborted every minute. Church leaders like Arch. Wuerl are even willing to give Holy Communion to the politicians responsible for laws that support this in spite of a canon law prohibition. In an interview, Arch. Wuerl excuses his inaction by saying that the politicians in D.C. are just visitors and that he does not interpret the Church law in that way - even if the Vatican holds the contrary position. Read the entire interview here: http://www.politicsdaily.com/2009/05/06/archbishop-wuerl-why-i-won-t-deny-pelosi-communion/
