Video: HS dropout a better man than Harvard grad Obama

Hear him out and judge for yourself.  He addresses common objections for abortion better than preachers and politicians.  His logic and reasoning is more impeccable than any philosopher.  His content is as truthful as a Church document but he does not sound "churchy";  he's from the streets.  He is like a black Ronald Reagan in his articulate and effective presentation. He didn't go to Harvard or even finish high school, yet he speaks the truth better than a lot of the elites.  And he doesn't even have a teleprompter.  If video fails, go to http://divine-ripples.blogspot.com/2010/10/video-dropout-more-sensible-and-ethical.html

Democrats think the common citizen is just too dense to understand Obama's achievements.

The elites think the comman man is just too dense to understand Obama's achievements.  Obama expects us to thank him even.  #@!-* ( Sorry -  keyboard spasm.  Seems to happen a lot these days. )*!~# ( There it goes again.)

Video: Vatican puts Card. O'Malley & Abp. Wuerl on notice for not disciplining pro-aborts

Vatican speaks: No communion or funeral Masses for pro-aborts. Liberal bishops e.g. Card. Sean O'Malley who presided on Kennedy's funeral and Abp. Wuerl who has not banned pro-aborts from communion in DC were practically put on notice by Apostolic Asignatura.

Video: Voting for life

Nov. 2 is not just an election. It is an epic struggle between good and evil. A vote for Democrats is an empowerment of the devil. Defend life; vote for someone else.

During the battle over health care reform, President Obama promised the American people that “no federal dollars will be used to fund abortions.” The President and his allies in Congress abandoned that promise and ignored seven out of 10 voters who oppose taxpayer-funded abortion. The result: a new health care law that clearly allows the largest expansion of abortion since Roe v. Wade. These “pro-life” politicians did not honor their commitment to the American people, and incredibly, are still expecting to be elected this November.
Dr. Charmaine Yoest, President and CEO of Americans United for Life Action, announced a new effort this week to hold politicians accountable and clearly demonstrate that life counts. On Saturday, AUL Action rolled out VotingforLife.com, an innovative online grassroots effort that empowers Americans to take a stand.
“Remember,” said Yoest, “you and I promised elected officials that they would be held accountablefor their support of taxpayer-funded abortion in health care reform. Now it’s time to act and take a stand.”
By going to VotingforLife.com, activists can spread the word, get critical early-voting information, tell friends how they can help, share this effort on a blog, get the word out on Facebook and Twitter, and even get a  “Voting for Life” bumper sticker. With just two weeks until the election, time is of the essence. Votingforlife.com—a  one-stop pro-life resource for 2010—is a must-see.

Marian devotion is not a relic but a relationship.

I wanted to instill in my family that October is the month of the Rosary. So, during night prayers, we prayed a decade on the first night, then 2 decades the next night until we ended up saying all 5. My kids’ ages are 3, 7, 8 and 10; so, I thought that would be too much for young children. But they were calm during the recitation. I didn’t have to be repressive or glare at mischief (well maybe once in awhile). In fact, when I had everyone lead decades, they were “calling it” i.e. “I call the 3rd. etc...”  I still don’t want them to develop an aversion for practices of piety so, I try to maintain a certain mix e.g. on Saturday when we go to Confession, we just say a decade. The same is with Sunday because we already went to Mass.

What surprised me was the calming effect of the Rosary brought. They did not get bored or annoyed. After October, we’ll still say it once or twice during the weekdays or on the weekends when we don’t go to Confession.  And when May comes along, we'll have a floral offering to her statue in the garden while singing Marian hymns.  Maybe I'll post a video by then.  We'll make it a family tradition and that way, Mother Mary becomes more and more part of our family.

Marian devotion is the most important devotion of the Christian community.  It is not only a lifeless tradition or festivity but part of the life of the Church;  just how many Marian apparitions have there been since her Assumption, how many miracles were done through her intercession starting from that party at Cana.  And for me, Mother Mary is not just an element of Catholic heritage.  She lives and continues to intercede for us.

Video: Muslim desecrates altar at the cathedral of Florence

More from the followers of that religion (term used loosely in this case) of peace.  Anyone can feign mental illness to escape responsibility. What they do to others abroad – to the living altars in the person of Christians is not done under the pretense of insanity but is willful, intentional and spiteful. Cfr. links for persecution.org and persecution.com. I think we need to protect our brothers and sisters in Christ – specially in the Muslim countries where the government simply looks the other way. Please excuse the vehemence but I think the Lord himself gets riled up whenever the Temple – living or otherwise gets desecrated.

There's still some fight left in me.  Does anyone know the recruitment office of the Crusaders?
