Chain letter that will get your parish the perfect priest.

The Perfect Priest

The results of a computerized survey indicate the perfect priest preaches exactly fifteen minutes. He condemns sins but never upsets anyone. He works from 8:00 AM until midnight and is also a janitor. He makes $50 a week, wears good clothes, buys good books, drives a good car, and gives about $50 weekly to the poor. He is 28 years old and has preached 30 years. He has a burning desire to work with teenagers and spends all of his time with senior citizens.

The perfect priest smiles all the time with a straight face because he has a sense of humor that keeps him seriously dedicated to his work. He makes 15 calls daily on parish families, shut-ins and the hospitalized, and is always in his office when needed.

If your priest does not measure up, simply send this letter to six other churches that are tired of their priest, too. Then bundle up your priest and send him to the church on the top of the list. In one week, you will receive 1,643 priests and one of them will be perfect. Have faith in this procedure.

One parish broke the chain and got its old priest back in less than three weeks.

Issues of Life & Conscience in HealthCare Reform:  A Comparison of the House and Senate Bills  Source:  http://www.usccb.org/healthcare/life_conscience.pdf

by Steve Mosher from Population Research Institute
Ignoring the polls and the House of Representatives, President Obama is pushing ahead with a health care bill that will force Americans to pay for abortions. He has proposed what he calls a "targeted set of changes" to the Senate-passed bill, which have the effect of making a bad bill for babies even worse. (An 11-page summary is available on the White House website here).

Bear in mind that the Senate bill (H.R. 3590) already promotes abortion in multiple ways, making it the most pro-abortion legislation since Roe v. Wade. The U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB), a cautious critic at best, posted a study of the anti-life provisions of the Senate bill that ran no fewer than thirteen (13) pages.

Now comes Obama's version, ladling on $11 billion for "Community Health Centers." Planned Parenthood will be the beneficiary of much of this money, as the President helps his friends at the abortion organization get even richer off our tax dollars.

Obama also wants to subsidize private health insurance that covers abortion, and to mandate that even non-subsidized plans to cover abortion, in effect forcing all of us to pay for someone else's abortion.

My Journey: Tax problems.

I was having tax problems with my 2008 return that has caused anxiety. This afternoon, I read Mt 7:7-12 that was about a child asking his father for food and not being denied. So, I paused and prayed feeling assured by that timely passage. I didn’t bargain because I said, “If I knew that there was something that God wanted from me, then I would give it – whether I needed something or not.” A few minutes after the prayer, an email arrived from the Tax Appeals Division saying that my case has been closed.

Here are the details.  Back in April, I filed my taxes electronically. A few months later, I got a letter charging me for the full amount of my tax liabilities plus interests and penalties. When I examined the statement, it showed that the payroll deductions were not factored in so, something must have gone wrong during the transmission. I resubmitted a printed copy of the returns with my W2s. A couple of months later, I got a collection letter with even more interest charges and penalties. So I sent in an appeal. After a few weeks I mustered the courage to follow up by phone only to be asked to call back after another week. After a week, I called back and explained the situation all over. My case has gone into two directions – one with the appeals board and the other with the amendment division. And I was talking with a third division whose number was in the correspondence. I was asked to call back in two weeks. That is the back drop of today’s event. And another thing though, last week a man flew his airplane into an I.R.S. building in Texas.
