Bishops allow pro-aborts Communion to avoid criminal charges?

The "moral incoherence" of the bishops is indeed hard to excuse or even understand. But the sooner it ends the better. Some people are speculating that the bishops have made a deal with liberal politicians. The bishops will not deny them communion in return for which the pols will see that the bishops are not prosecuted for covering up child abuse. Does anyone know what the truth really is re this matter?
