Catholic Family Life: Rosary
Even if we pray the Rosary, my kids don't use the beads - out of laziness? or coolness? Anyway, I told them how Our Mother gave the Rosary to St. Dominic de Guzman to use when battling heretics. So, they become interested. But what really peaked their interest was when I brought a glowing one. They turned off the lights and were taking turns to use it. They're 13, 10, 9, 4 & 2. Strangely we've managed to pray it every night for 2 years or so without having unruly and disruptive behavior. It is as though the Rosary calms them down and provides that outer worldly aura bringing peace and a different kind of happiness.
